A Stellar Perspective: Why I Do This Work and What It Means to Me
Sometimes, the biggest shifts start in the smallest moments—like stepping out of the car on a dark December night and looking up.
I created Stellar Perspective because I believe transformation begins when we pause long enough to see things differently. Not through toxic positivity. Not by bypassing the very real pain or complexity of our lives. But by honoring what’s here and holding space for what’s possible.
This name came to me not in a strategy session or brand brainstorm, but in the middle of one of the hardest seasons of my life. I was facing the loss of my beloved horse Autumn, a deeply stressful living situation, and a string of crises that left me depleted and stretched in every direction—ultimately forcing me to step back from a business I had worked hard to build. My heart was breaking, and so was my sense of direction.
One night, shortly after Autumn passed, I went to check on my other horse Sunny, Autumn’s herd mate, who was grieving too. As I walked toward her in the pitch-black cold, the weight of it all hit me. But then something else did too: a light. Above me, the sky was brilliant. Stars everywhere. In the stillness, something opened. The grief didn’t disappear—but something else made itself known: awe. Possibility. Connection.
In that moment, I felt the vastness of the world around me—and a reminder that even in hardship, we’re still part of something bigger. Sometimes, the shift comes when we step outside of what’s directly in front of us. That night, I saw that it was possible to hold heartbreak and hope at once. That we can be in deep pain and still feel wonder. We can lose direction and still glimpse what’s next.
Psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl once wrote:
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
He described resilience not as denying suffering—but as finding meaning within it. That’s what the stars gave me that night: a glimmer of meaning, a breath of perspective, and a reason to keep moving forward.
That was the beginning of Stellar Perspective.
Living in Survival Mode—and Why It’s Not the Whole Story
My work now centers on helping high-achieving women get out of survival mode—what I’d call “Level 2 energy,” the realm of control, competition, and constant pressure. It’s the energy many of us are conditioned to operate from, especially in leadership and caregiving roles. And while it can drive results, when we stay there too long, it drains us.
We burn out. We become angry or apathetic. We disconnect from purpose. We lose touch with what makes us feel alive.
Most people don’t even realize this is how they’re living—constantly in fight-or-flight—until something breaks or stops them long enough to feel the disconnect. And when that happens, it’s easy to think the problem is us.
But the truth is, many of us are wired for something more: connection, creativity, contribution, collaboration. What I call “we all win” energy—an expansive way of living that centers meaning, relationship, and possibility. It's often buried under the noise of what we think we're supposed to pursue.
To reconnect with this deeper resonance, we need space, tools, and support. We need a framework that not only helps us understand why we’re misaligned—but gives us the skills to come back into alignment, in our work, relationships, wellbeing, and self-concept.
How I Help: A Shift from Stuck to Aligned
Through mindfulness, nervous system regulation, values clarification, and energy leadership coaching, I help women shift from stuck to spacious—from reactive to intentional.
We use research-backed practices to explore how you're showing up in different areas of life—how your energy, beliefs, and values are shaping the results you're getting (and the ones you're not). Together, we examine what’s no longer aligned, then build a vision rooted in your inner truth—not external pressure.
The process draws from evidence-based tools across multiple domains, including:
The Energy Leadership Index™ (ELI) to assess and understand your energetic patterns in leadership, stress, and decision-making
Insights from mindfulness-based stress reduction, nervous system regulation, and my formal training through the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP)
Tools grounded in life satisfaction research, purpose science, and positive psychology—including models like the Flourishing Wheel, which help us assess where alignment is thriving or compromised across core life domains
The coaching path follows a clear arc:
Audit – Clarify your values, energetic patterns, and life satisfaction across the areas that matter most
Vision – Reconnect with purpose, imagine forward, and articulate a version of success that’s true to you
Build – Design the structural, relational, and daily choices that allow that vision to take root in your real life
This isn’t mindset work for the sake of mindset work. It’s a grounded, practical, and transformational process that honors the full complexity of who you are—and where you’re going.
The Deeper Meaning Behind the Name
The name Stellar Perspective also reflects something bigger. Living in Colorado, I’m lucky to have access to wide-open skies. I’ve had many nights where I’ve looked up and felt reoriented—reminded of my place in the bigger picture. Even when the clouds roll in or the city lights make it hard to see clearly, the stars are still there.
That’s the power of perspective: what we see changes when we shift where we’re standing.
And then came Stella.
A few months after losing Autumn, I was given the chance to adopt a young wild mustang. She was black, with a small white star on her forehead. I named her Stella.
She had been recently gathered from the wild and had almost no human contact. Unlike my other horses—whose trust I had to slowly rebuild—Stella arrived unshaped by past trauma. We built our connection from scratch. Presence. Mutual curiosity. Deep listening.
Our relationship didn’t begin with repair—it began with potential. That changed something in me.
She reminded me what it’s like to move forward not from fear, but from wonder. To build from alignment rather than constantly unraveling what doesn’t fit. To trust what could be instead of only focusing on what has been.
Her name, of course, means star.
What Stellar Perspective Offers
This work is about helping you see your life differently—so you can live it differently.
It’s a space to zoom out, breathe, and remember what matters.
A process for realigning with your core values and clarifying your vision.
A container for building a life—not just in spite of challenge, but through it—with intention, depth, and momentum.
The coaching container I offer is built to hold that kind of transformation.
It’s a space where you’re not only seen and heard—but truly felt and deeply understood. Where honest reflection is met with compassion, and where you're gently challenged to consider what’s possible.
Together, we explore how you’re showing up energetically, uncover the subtle patterns that shape how you lead, relate, and respond, and create practical pathways forward. You’ll develop mindfulness and regulation tools to support clarity and calm in the moments that matter most—so you're not just reacting, but responding from alignment.
Fulfillment isn’t something you chase—it’s something you learn to cultivate.
That’s what this work is about: returning to the clarity, strength, and purpose that were always yours to begin with.
